Suicide Prevention Including LGBTQ

I am not a therapist. Please do not accept this as advice other than me saying, reach out should you be in a crisis/suicidal. If you do not have a phone, talk to a police officer, friend, go for a walk or admit to a psych hospital. Also, practice mindfulness. I have found that practicing mindfulness helps just about everything- what is good, why it's good and where would I be if I did not have those things. Here are some resources should you find yourself needing them. https://www.nami.org/Get-Involved/Awareness-Events/Suicide-Prevention-Awareness-Month https://www.nami.org/Get-Involved/Awareness-Events/Awareness-Resources/Sentimoji   This is neat.  Here is a link to LGBTQ Suicide Prevention/Crisis - Geared toward Civilians but I am certain they are able to help those in the service as well.  https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/help-yourself/lgbtq/ Be safe.  Info found on the links listed above.

Men of Nehemiah

https://menofnehemiah.org/  214-421-6705 Dallas, Texas Drug and alcohol, through Christ, rebuilding the walls of stability and sobriety.  Please utilize this program for those who struggle with alcohol/drugs rather than jail time. Prisoners can get drugs and alcohol in jail which does nothing but cost tax payers. This program helped my violent offender/alcoholic ex-husband. His program design was for 9 months where he was unable to speak to anyone for the first 3 months. It was hard but whatever it took to get him clean, stable & something to carry him - Christ. God & military like living that stabilizes an individual is key. It is not an easy program. Mention this to the judge should you ever find yourself in trouble. Admission isn't guaranteed but look at this as an option. You will get clean, I guarantee you that.  Information, I pulled, from their Facebook page and my own personal experience because my ex-husband was in the program.

UBH Denton Ross Trauma Program

Civilian Program  Www.Ubhdenton.com The Ross Institute for Trauma was created to provide educational services, research and quality clinical treatment in the areas of trauma, addictions and co-occurring disorders. The program is under the direction of Colin A. Ross, M.D., an internationally renowned clinician, speaker, researcher and author. The program is based on the “Trauma Model” developed by Dr. Ross. This model emphasizes the effects of trauma as multiple symptoms and addictions expressed by multiple diagnoses. The Trauma Model recognizes that human personality is composed of different elements that shape individual thought and behavior. Unresolved trauma interrupts this normal psychological structure, resulting in unhealthy fragmentation of thought, feeling, memory and perception. The Ross Institute for Trauma does not utilize ineffective regressive treatment modalities, such as focusing on the retrieval of repressed memories. Instead, treatment team members work collaborativel
